Due to license reasons it is possible that a recording cannot be
performed with an ORF DIGITAL card that was activated prior to
September 2011.
For encrypted channels the broadcasting rights of the provider may be limited and thus the recording and Timeshift functions may be constricted and fast forward/rewind may be limited or may not be possible or limited playable. Restrictions may be issued also via the analogue scart output (VCR or DVD recorder).
Please contact ORF for a free replacement of your ORF DIGITAL card. Further information can be found online at: http://digital.orf.at/ or in the information included with the new ORF card.
A corresponding smart card is required for playback of encrypted
images. If the additional offer of HD Austria is used, a receiver
that is „paired“ with the smart card can also be used for playback
(up to 3 receivers can be "paired" with one smart card).
Check that you are using the smart card corresponding to your receiver. If in doubt, a recording can be selected in the HDD Manager and the smart card number displayed by pressing the OPT button.
